    We expect lived experience individuals to apply their own experiences and perceptions to the findings from our research work at key timepoints, including supporting us to design and produce key research documents such as survey items. There are opportunities to contribute to academic papers and we plan to deliver a training session to support public contributors with understanding research processes. All participants will be fairly reimbursed at a rate of £25 per hours plus travel expenses where necessary, this can be claimed as a bank payment or voucher dependant on users preference only.

Job Description

We are a research team in University of Birmingham. We require input from several individuals with lived experience of gambling harms to help us develop the public health approach to gambling-related harm reduction so that it includes perspectives and voices from a wide variety of communities, cultures, and religions. If you represent an underserved community (for example, women, ethnic minority groups, religious groups and young people aged 18 – 24) within the gambling research space, please reach out to us we would love to hear from you. We have several opportunities available over the next 18 months for involvement to share experiences of gambling-related harms and perspectives on laws and public health interventions.
