Company Description
I’ve been an academic (teaching and research) for over 30 years at the University of East London, and was one of the founders of the Drugs and Addictive Behaviours Research Group at the uni. I currently work in a range of areas related to health, wellbeing and addiction (most recently gambling), and have collaborated with academic colleagues at Kings College, Lincoln University, University of Valencia and Case Western University in the US. I have also worked with the National Problem Gambling Clinic, Gordon Moody Association and the Young Gamblers Education Trust. In my teaching work at uni I have always tried to engage individuals with LE of addictions (especially gambling) and people working in treatment, support and education services, to provide our students with a more rounded and realistic understanding of the complexities and journeys of individuals affected.
